school is back, and I'm depressed. $97 dollars for one textbook, I won't buy the one for 2-D design :P fuck that it's $15, I spent so much money on school supplies (mostly for painting) and now I'm left with $25 to my name. 10 hours of work a week ain't helping either. anyways, to escape the melancholy, here's a meme of sorts :)

I've been so busy lately, so for those of you following me on here, my apologies. Life caught up with me. I've been working 26 hour weeks at my job, and getting ready to go back to school :/ although this semester seems fun. Anthropology and 2 art classes. So ultimately, one textbook :D also, I switched back to art for my major. I've decided to get better and better, and hope to become a comic book penciller or inker. that's my latest goal. In the meantime. my summer reading has been all about Witchblade. well, comics, at least. The Magdalena is a fine piece of comic art as well. novel-wise, anything by Stieg. Girl with the Dragon Tattoo had a decent movie made in its honor, so this pleased me. anyways, here's some new art.

currently, I'm listening to oldies as always, (although Belle and Sebastian isn't that old). Drawing more, and getting ready for my 21st birthday ^o^ and watching the World Cup. very distressed about Italy ):

one of my managers (who I think has a thing for me :/ ....) has somewhat inspired me to maybe (?) go back to majoring in art. She knew Don Bluth when she was young (they lived in Ireland where his first studio was) and even had dinner at her home with him as a guest D: her dad worked for him and did lots of illustration, did some kids' books-well, the illustrations, and was an animator. He got to do alot of fun drawing art related jobs without being told what to draw-everything was from imagination! Her brother does the same and worked with DreamWorks, and she wants to try to set me up on a tour of the studio. I'm so psyched about that! I'd love to do something like that, but the problem is, I do not want to be in school for so long. sure it's 4 years....but I've been in school 18 years of my life. The other three years I was a baby. So it doesn't count. She said she wants to try to see if they'd allow me a tour at Disney's art studios, but it's harder now-a-days, and with her dad retired, it's pretty hard. but apparently, a possible tour of Don Bluth's studios...well, I couldn't say no. :)
